La Quinta Country Club was established in 1959 and is the city’s oldest country club. This incredible course is landscaped with native trees, seven lakes, and beautifully lush fairways. In 1999, it was redesigned in preparation of the Bob Hope Classic. And the new clubhouse, with 37,000 square feet, was opened in 2009.
Inspired by Santa Barbara architecture, the clubhouse offers members many amenities from the spacious dining areas to the fitness facility. The club’s main focus is providing a healthy lifestyle for its members. Classes include Tai Chi, Pilates, and yoga. And golf-integrated exercise classes are available as well as the use of personal trainers. Many enjoy the spa services which even include a hair salon for the ladies and a barber for the gentlemen. There are many activities on the calendar including social gatherings and golf leagues.

La Quinta’s famous landmark La Quinta Resort & Spa was built in 1926 and is a central part of the country club. The golf course, designed by Larry Hughes, was voted as the “Best Private Golf course in the Coachella Valley”. This course is a pleasure to walk with tree-lined fairways and excellent greens. Many celebrities, presidents, and even Arnold Palmer himself, have graced the country club’s course.
